We went for a trip up to Borough Market today. A foodie haven near London Bridge. It's an amazing place with stalls full of the most varied and gorgeous food.
Now, I have to say though, it's not the most child friendly of places - especially as we got nearer to lunch time and the crowds got thicker. Navigating a double buggy across cobbled pavements whilst being surrounded on all sides by people wasn't particularly pleasant and the boys soon let us know that they weren't happy. I even started to undertake a forward guard action - although stopped short of crying out 'Mind your backs please!'
Anyway, by the time we got to 11:15, the boys had had enough and we gave up and went for lunch. Challenge #2. finding somewhere for lunch that serves 'lunch' before midday! We ended up in Cafe Nero and fed the boys a couple of sandwiches, a muffin and some fruit.
By the time we left there, the crowds in the market were absolutely heaving but, true to form, the boys had a little nap in the buggy and we wandered round a few more stalls before setting off home.
