Water Babies - Week 9 (Graduation Day)

It's Graduation Day!

Theo and Charlie have passed their first swimming course!

This was the final week of their swimming lessons and a recap of all the the different swims they've learnt over the last 9 weeks.

They got a certificate at the end and a badge to say they've passed their 'Ducklings' course.

Next week, we start level 2 - Cygnets!

Down They Go! (Again)

Uh Oh! Guess who has now worked out how to stand up in his cot? Forget all this kneeling up business, Theo is now fully standing on two feet!

As such, the cots have had to go down yet again, to the lowest possible level.

Theo is also enjoying the challenge that is Mt. Mummy Everest and Mt. Daddy Everest. If we're on the floor, you can guarantee that Theo will be along to clamber all over us. If only he could find something less painful to grip hold of in his ascent than hair!

High Chair Heaven / Hell

We could probably start a whole website reviewing the quality of different high chairs in coffee shops / restaurants etc. They vary so much from the completely rubbish and frankly, unsafe (Starbucks) to the actually rather good (Coffee Republic - see pic below). Watch our for more of this detailed analysis of public high chair antics in the coming months!

Water Babies - Week 8

Bit late with this post as well.

Second to last week of swimming! We did all the usual activities plus we did two new swims. One with floats and an underwater swim away from us towards the instructor.

Last session next week and the boys will be graduating!

Rockin' Theo

We took a trip to Mamas and Papas over the weekend.

Here's Theo enjoying rocking back and forth on, erm, a snail?!

Water Babies - Week 7 - Smile Please!

This week there was no swimming activity, the entire session was given over to having underwater pictures taken of the boys.

We should have them back in a week or so - look out for them on here!

Horizontal to Vertical

In the last two days, Theo has started to pull himself into an upright position!

Anything he can get his hands on, he will clamber up until he's standing upright. Admittedly, he soon falls over again but it's a start!

Charlie meanwhile is still trying to work out how to crawl properly. In the meantime, he continues to roll back and forth until he reaches his destination....
