This is the other twin. You can clearly see the bones in the left arm and the ribs. On the right, you can clearly see the face and it looks like he / she is doing a thumbs up sign!
The twins are both growing well but one of them seems to be spreading out more than the other one and has nicked most of the space!
The Ultrasound Operator took all the vital measurements including head size, brain (obviously larger than average), neck, spine, the 4 chambers of the heart, other bone lengths and many others. We didn't find out the sex.
We've made it to the halfway point! Clair is now 20 weeks pregnant. We haven't had the next scan yet (that's next week) but we have reached another major milestone.
Clair's belly is officially bigger than mine!
Kicks galore are happening too although they seem to decide to stop kicking whenever I put my hand near them.
We had another appointment with the Consultant today - just an interim checkup before the 20 week scan in 3 weeks. All was fine.
We heard the heartbeats again and he had a good old prod around! Apparently, Clair is about the size she would be at 20-22 weeks if this was a single pregnancy!
Big one in 3 weeks is the 20 week scan. More pics will be uploaded then!
We saw the Midwife today. She was lovely, not like the hag on reception, who huffed merely when her glasses needed to be readjusted on her nose. Had all the various checks and we heard their little hearts galloping away. Gave blood, & other samples. Next appointment after exams, so doubt blood pressure will be below 180/100 then!!! Clair x
